So today, I found out that Cat5 can be used as DMX. So my TD and I soddered Cat5 to a male 3-pin DMX. We’re using Cat5 to cable our LED strips together. We have 32 strips connected to 16 DMX boxes spread across the entire stage. 
In the background are some NSI Dimmers that are used in the community theater I have been working in since 2011. I have worked with the TD and have learned how to replace parts on these dimmers.
